Trauma Recovery & Functional Nutrition for Women 40+
I’ve always been passionate about helping women feel their best—inside and out. For a long time, I believed that if I could just lose the weight, happiness would follow.
That belief was challenged in my late 40s when I entered menopause and hit a breaking point. My hormones were depleted, and I found myself spiraling into clinical depression. It was a season that forced me to slow down and ask deeper questions. Working with a functional medicine practitioner—who addressed my hormone imbalances and nutrient deficiencies—was the first step toward feeling like myself again.
As my body began to heal, I returned to movement, regained energy, and felt “normal” for the first time in years. But when I later stopped hormone replacement therapy due to cost, I realized I needed a sustainable, long-term approach to health—one that didn’t rely solely on medication. That realization led me deep into the science of hormones, metabolism, and functional nutrition. Physically, things finally began to make sense.
Yet even as my body improved, I discovered there was still healing to be done.
Through this journey, I became aware that joy had never truly been part of my lived experience due to unresolved childhood trauma. As I learned more about trauma—particularly intergenerational trauma—and how deeply it affects the body and nervous system, I felt called to seek healing on a much deeper level.
God met me there.
Through biblical trauma recovery work, the Lord has done some of His most tender and transformative healing in my life during my 50s. That season changed not only how I live—but how I serve.
After 33 years as a registered nurse, I am now a Biblical Trauma Recovery Coach (NIW Ministries), Functional Nutrition Specialist, PN-1 Coach, and Transformational Macro Coach. Today, I blend faith-based, trauma-informed coaching with science-backed nutrition to help women heal from the inside out.
My Philosophy & Approach
My approach to healing begins with faith first.
I believe true transformation starts when we invite God to gently reveal the false core beliefs and narratives that have shaped how we see ourselves, our bodies, and our worth. Because trauma is stored in the body, healing happens when a person feels heard, emotions are safely regulated, and truth replaces fear, shame and striving—allowing the body to finally process and restore itself as it was designed to do.
This work is often difficult to navigate alone, which is why faith-based coaching provides a supportive and guided path toward healing.
Many women carry stories rooted in guilt, shame, or fear — beliefs that quietly drive chronic stress, self-sabotage, and disconnection from their bodies. Before lasting change can occur, these narratives must be brought into the light and replaced with truth.
From there, functional nutrition becomes a supportive tool — not the starting point.
When the nervous system feels safe and the body is nourished with balance, rest, and care, it can finally respond as God designed it to—through clarity, resilience, and healing.
I work with women who are ready to move:
The goal is not just weight loss or better habits—it is lasting healing that begins in the heart, renews the mind, and allows the body to follow in its own time.
I help women cut through the confusion by offering:
Trauma-informed mindset coaching to identify self-sabotaging patterns and address past hurts in a safe, faith-centered space
Science-backed metabolic education to understand why the body is changing
Customized nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support hormones, energy, and fat loss
Comprehensive health assessments and functional blood chemistry analysis (when appropriate)
Who I Love Working With
I work with women who are ready to take control of their health, willing to be coached, and open to real, lasting change—even if they’ve tried and “failed” before.
I believe in progress over perfection and know firsthand that life doesn’t always go as planned. What matters most is consistency, not perfection.
One of my proudest moments as a coach? Hearing a client say:
💛 “I feel happy in my body again, even before reaching my goal weight.”
Why I Get It
I’ve been where my clients are.
For years, I cycled through losing and regaining the same 15–20 pounds, stuck in an all-or-nothing mindset. It wasn’t until I addressed past trauma through a biblical lens that my mindset truly shifted. From there, functional nutrition finally worked the way it was meant to.
Today, I’ve maintained my weight for over two years—without extreme dieting—and more importantly, I live with peace and trust in my body.
